Isabel was born in Sta. Maria Island (Azores) and feels like a citizen of the world. Her experience in the world of music began on the island where she was born, where there were no music schools or conservatories at the time. Drinking from the influence of the Atlantic and inspirations from Lusophony, she sought out sporadic workshops that gave her access to her initial musical training and that later encouraged her to study voice and guitar in Lisbon. She composed 10 songs that are part of her first album, Ilhéu, with poems written by her, but also by Natália Correia, Florbela Espanca, Paulo Ramalho and Daniel Gonçalves.
